The all new design of our double horn features a triangular valve arrangement with the thumb valve positioned in front of the valves. This arrangement provides for a circular air flow and eliminates the need for a feedback to the thumb valve as required in different designs. The valves all rotate in the direction of the air flow which allows for smoother slurs.
The bell is hammered by hand and features a gusset. The starting material for our double horn is sheet brass with a gauge of 0.4mm. The unique balance of this design results in an instrument that lightly responds through all registers, and provides a sustainable tone and an extraordinary intonation. The unique positioning of the valves also relieves the left hand from some weight.
